The team arrived at the museum around 9:30am and were pleasantly greeted by the curator of the museum. Were shown around as well as given history on the place itself. We began set up around 10am with using hand held video cameras, digital voice recorders and digital cameras. Digital recorders were placed in what used to be the nursery, the master bedroom and the kitchen of the house. Video cameras were used by team members as they walked around. We did not employ the DVR system during this investigation as it didn’t seem necessary.

Investigation began by 10:25am with half of the team taking the upstairs of the museum and the other half taking the downstairs of museum. The entire house did not feel as though anything inhabited it other then the curator and museum volunteers.

A few strange K2 meter hits were recorded on a doll/mannequin in what was the nursery room on the second floor as well as on three pieces of clothing in the wardrobe room which is also on the second floor. The clothing that got hits were an old Army dress uniform jacket, a long white cotton dress and a white cotton blouse. All three are sitting on top of a small pedestal type dresser that is along the street side of the building. The hits only occurred on those 3 pieces of clothing for a few minutes then disappeared all together. The K2 meter hits on the doll never could be explained as it looked like the doll was mainly constructed of plaster.

After review of our audio, video and photos, nothing out of the ordinary was found other then the K2 meter hits on those four items.

Though we find that the Polson Museum does not house paranormal activity, we do feel that it is a wonderful place to visit and learn about some of Hoquiam’s History.
