The team arrived at McReavy House in Union,WA about 7pm on Nov. 11th 2009. We went in and toured the house seeing where to lay out cameras, etc. Set-up began shortly there after with our investigation beginning approximately around 8:00pm.
We divided up into two teams of 3 with one person remaining at base 99% of our investigation time. One team took the downstairs area w/ the main concentration seeming to be in the room w/ the yellow chair. The other team went upstairs. In 45minute intervals, the teams switched out. We did this 4 times throughout the evening w/ a total of 20minutes for breaks.
During the investigation many personal experiences were reported.
2 team members would not sit in the yellow chair as it gave them an uneasy feeling. One other team member had sat in it prior, went to sit in it again and decided not to after she got the feeling ‘something’ didn’t want her to. During this time another one of members feeling like she shouldn’t sit in the chair again, another team member felt cold on the left part of her face. She then decides to sit in the chair and reports a vibrating sensation coming from the chair. When the other team member sat in the chair once again, she felt as tho someone was stroking her hand. The rest of her body was warm and felt warm but her hand was as tho she had played in snow.
At one point in the downstairs bathroom, a team member was not able to get her camera to focus on anything. She took at least 25 photos and all were out of focus.
Temperature fluxes were pretty predominate in the chair room. Could be the lack of wood behind the chair even tho there is insulation. Tho at times the temp would drop and remain steady and then rise again without anyone moving around.
Approximately 1000 photos were that evening with some things caught on film that we tried and tried and tried to duplicate but were not able to. One photo shows what appears to be ectoplasm/mist floating near a window in the room w/ the broken down fireplace. Another set of consecutive photos show what appears to be a black mass appearing and moving within the living room area by the fireplace.
We used 6 digital recorders that evening and have captured approximately 20 EVPs (electronic voice phenomenon).
Unfortunately the footage from our DVR system was trashed for the DVR itself crashed.
Investigation ended approximately 11:30pm
The investigation itself was a successful one for the team and everyone totally loved the house! We would be honored to come back once again to see if we can discover any more spirits that inhabit the house or if the spirits do remember us.
