Our investigation of the Cabbage Patch Restaurant in Snohomish,WA on April 10, 2010 did not turn up any paranormal activity at that time. We are not saying that the restaurant is not haunted, we are saying the other worldly guests were not in the mood to show themselves that evening. We do hope to make a return trip at some point in the future.

Legend has it that patrons have experienced being tripped on the last stair proceeding down the stairs from the 2nd floor dining ara. Could this be the doings of Sybil Sibley, who at the age of 9, fell down the stairs and broke her neck? Though this fall did not create her demise for she actually died over in Pierce County in 1930, it is felt that she followed her family to the property of the restaurant in 1954.
Over the years, partons, employees and even passersby have claimed to have seen a figure of a young girl in the upstairs dining area looking out the windows or moving about. There have also been claims by employees that dishes have been moved or broken and the clanging of glassware has been heard from the upstairs area when non one was around to have created the noise.
In April of 2004, a fire destroyed much of the historic restaurant. The buildings insides were completely gutted but the building itself was strucurally sound so re-building began. It was almost a year to the day that the restaurant re-opened.
The Cabbage Patch began serving Snohomish residents on June 15, 1975 and quickly became one of the most popular dining experiences in the valley; its antiques and home-like atmosphere embodying the celebrated Snohomish spirit. The house, dating back to 1905, has also been a residence, a boarding house and an antique store containing Native American artifacts.
The Cabbage Patch Restaurant is located in the heart of downtown Snohomish and has been serving up delicious (and it IS!) home-style cooking since 1975.
