Team Members at investigation: Francene, AJ, Colette, Andrea, Bree and Tricia
The team arrived around 6:30pm to have dinner at Billy’s plus to get a general feel for the place as well as talk w/ the waitresses that have had experiences.
Set-up began about 9pm. Francene interviewed the 3 waitresses that were going to be our guest investigators for the evening while the rest of the team got the equipment up and running. We used the DVR system with all 4 cameras. One camera in the kitchen area, one camera on the bar, two cameras over-looking the entire restaurant area from opposite directions. At one point in the evening, camera 3 which was one of the over-looking cameras, was switched to looking over the coffee area of the restaurant. 6 digital recorders were used. Digital recorder placement included the upstairs storage, on the bar, on the gift cabinet and the various places that investigators went to. 5 digital cameras were used as well. A temperature sweep was done with temps remaining pretty consistent throughout the evening between 65 and 68 degrees. EMF sweep was done with the normal higher end electrical outputs for restaurant equipment. The only place that had EMF off the scale was the kitchen area where readings were in the 130 and higher range.
The weekend shift gang also showed up for the investigation to see what it all entailed. They were younger kids in their late teens/early 20’s and weren’t real sure about the whole thing. We showed them the DVR system, how the EMF and K2 meters work, how to do a temp sweep along with other things that goes on with doing a paranormal investigation. LOTS of sitting and being quiet!
Investigation began about 9:45pm. Investigation began in the upstairs which used to be the brothel part of the building. A digital recorder was placed and left for the entire investigation. It was a lot colder up there then thought but there was also a broken out window (due to storm damage) along the street side of the building. No unusual feelings were made aware of and no personal experiences from this team were gathered.
Downstairs in the restaurant area of the building, Francene and AJ had an odd K2 hit in the men’s bathroom. Only happened once with the K2 spiking up to orange. This is the bathroom where a man was supposedly fondled on the butt and one of the waitresses heard the door open and close on its own accord.
One of the waitresses did feel a coldness upon her lap while sitting in a booth as she was talking with Francene about her other experiences in the building.
Odd K2 hits and EMF readings were measured along the floor later in the evening after the initial sweep of the place. Thought to be due to lines in for the drink machines which lay underneath the flooring.
Francene and one of the waitresses experienced intense coldness upstairs away from the broken window and at one point, they both could see their breath. Francene felt as tho someone passed between her and the waitress during this time as well. The coldness seemed to come from above them in a downwards swooping motion.
Bree did a ghost box session at one point in the evening and the name ‘Colette’ came across plain as day (odd for that is not a common name) which also happens to be the name of a team member.
About 10:30pm, Francene was walking towards the back by the coffee area and Colette was at base watching the DVR system when both women seen this flash . . . Colette seen it in the monitor and it blanked out camera 3 for a couple of seconds and Francene was blinded by it. No one else in the restaurant saw it and after review of the DVR footage, no flash was caught on film tho a small floating object seems to come out of the window into frame at that moment in time and on recorders you can hear both Colette and Francene asking ‘What in the hell was that???’ Just odd that they were the only two that seen this flash.
No other personal experiences were recorded that evening.
Investigation ended approximately midnight.
After review of the DVR footage we have one anomaly to further investigate. Over 600 photos were taken that evening and we have 4 that need further attention and after listening to a combined 18hours of audio, we have over a dozen EVPs.
The people of Billy’s Bar and Grill were so totally awesome! We thank them for allowing us to come in and investigate and we look forward to investigating there again in the future.
